A national judo tournament took place in the Palais du Sport, a huge sports hall in Mulhouse in Alsace. The almost 1000 young participants fought on eight mat areas. Such a large number of athletes is due to the fact that judo is a traditional and important sport in France. Athletes from TV Heitersheim were also represented. Luise Spothelfer, Viktoria Bippes, Nila Klz and Julius Mssner took a great second place in their age groups and Juna Licklederer fought her way to the top of the podium. In the U17s, Alexa Merchel and Finley Lmpe met an extremely strong pool of participants. Despite a great performance, only Finley was able to claim an excellent seventh place. The same happened to Alexa’s brother Roman in the U 14 age group.

Schott donates 3500 euros
Schott Pharma AG Mllheim donates 3,500 euros from the Rest-Cent campaign to the Markgrflerland table. “We are very pleased that we can be the beneficiaries of the Rest-Cent campaign and would like to thank all Schott employees who took part,” says Rudolf Kpfer, Chairman of the Markgrflerland food bank. The aim of the food banks is to pass on food of impeccable quality that is no longer used in the economic process to the needy. The range includes groceries and everyday items. The products are given away at a small cost share. At the Tafel Markgrflerland, around a hundred volunteers work in the shop, as drivers, co-drivers and with office work. “Especially in these difficult and uncertain times for many people, Schott Pharma is very happy to support the work of the Markgrflerland food bank,” says Bernhard Langner, site manager in Mllheim.

PARTNER CITY VEVEY
Visit to Lake Geneva
After a two-year break due to Corona, the traditional Martinsmarkt took place again in Mllheim’s twin town of Vevey. Therefore, the partnership committee and the sponsoring association set off for Switzerland with a delegation. Also in the luggage: wines from Britzingen, Scharwaie from the Kotz bakery, honey from Michael Nutsch and liver sausage from the Pfunder butcher’s shop, as well as lots of information about Mllheim and the surrounding area. The Mllheimers were not only eagerly awaited by the committee in Vevey, but also by many visitors to the market, who were happy to shop and chat with them. The successful, beautiful day was rounded off with a cheese fondue together before we went home. Also present: Swiss cheese for raclette for the Lindlemarkt stand. A delegation from Vevey then comes to the Christmas market on the Lindle.
