You might remember this video, back in the viral days, of Zion Williamson defended by an opponent much, much less physically impressive than him in high school. 5 years ago, Bryson Bishop, a member of another Spartanburg team, had rubbed shoulders with the country’s most famous young basketball player, when the latter had not yet joined Duke. Bishop had become a local hero for his courage, before falling back into anonymity. He is now a freshman at the University of Birmingham, Alabama, in an association other than the NCAA.
Nevertheless, Bryson Bishop had the opportunity to find Zion Williamson in recent days, during a preseason game between the Pelicans and the Hawks played in Alabama. The exchange was cordial.

“I couldn’t wait to see him again and it was literally one of the coolest moments of my life. He spoke to me like we’ve known each other forever. We’re from the same town and we know the same people It’s something that brings people together. Zion has always been a very down to earth person who talks to everyone. To see him still like that today shows what a person he is,” Bishop told ESPN.
