NBA, Gallinari shows up in Boston. Embiid becomes French! • TAG24

Danilo Gallinari is from yesterday a new NBA player of the Boston Celtics. The news, already reported in the past few hours on our channels, is official. The Gallo was presented at a press conference by Brad Stevens, General Manager of the green-and-white franchise. The manager opened the meeting with journalists by welcoming both the Italian and Malcolm Brogdon:

This is a great day for Celtics fans – we welcome two amazing players who will do great here in Boston. We are convinced that we have strengthened the team in an important way, now we have several alternatives on a tactical level, we can lower the quintet thanks to Gallo and become more versatile.

So, the word went directly to Danilo who revealed that he has always cheered for the Celtics:

I’ve been a Celtics and Larry Bird fan forever, thanks to my dad. Playing for Boston is a dream come true for me. When I was drafted by the Knicks Donnie Walsh gave me a tape to watch, they were highlights of Bird and he said “watch it every day and learn from him”. Obviously Larry Bird is a legend of our sport. Every time I came to play here at TD Garden I dreamed of being able to wear the Celtics jersey one day, now that dream has come true.

Joel Embiid obtains French citizenship

The other news of the day, instead, concerns Joel Embiid. According to what was announced by the French basketball federation, in fact, the center has obtained the French citizenship. To understand, now, if the transalpines will call the long in view of the next commitments. Boris Diaw – director general of the French national team – however, reiterated that naturalization would not have guaranteed Embiid a place in the team:

On the day he gets his citizenship, it will be discussed which players have the skills to lead France and keep the team spirit intact.

Impossible to miss such an opportunity. With Gobert and Embiid, France would have an absolutely superior package of longs compared to all the other national teams.
