Martin Braithwaite is about to leave FC Barcelona. It so happens that he arrived even against the opinion of dozens of critics and he ended up agreeing with all of them: he leaves nothing in sports and, if all goes well, he will not leave a single euro in the box either. No one can say that it was a broken promise.
Braithwaite arrived in January 2021 as a necessity, more than anything, but with the blessing of Ronald Koeman, the coach fired for poor results, who now looks from a distance how a man who cost 18 million euros, billed 4 million in the season with amazing punctuality and, although it cost up to 50,000 euros per minute, it never made a difference.

It could almost be said that he expected it: knowing that no team would make an offer for the remaining year of his contract, he refused to leave and sat down to wait for the Catalans to lose patience and give him the money corresponding to the time of his connection, while chatting with clubs like Rayo Vallecano or Getafe, as a free agent and willing to receive bonuses for not generating transfer fees.
The Danish receives in this way what he considers a decision of the club not to give him an opportunity despite always having been impeccable in training.
