“Tavien is a real tank, who is not afraid to run with the ball, said general manager Danny Maciocia in a press release from his organization. His strength, combined with his speed, adds a lot of depth to our formation.

The 24-year-old spent the last campaign with the Arizona Cardinals. He was in uniform for three meetings of the “Cards”, but did not have the opportunity to touch the ball. The previous year, he was on the practice squads of the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, and Detroit Lions.

In the NCAA, Feather won two national championships (2016 and 2018) with the Clemson University Tigers. In three seasons with the prestigious program, he amassed 1,330 yards and 15 touchdowns on 222 carries. He also caught 23 passes for 183 yards and a major in 38 games.

For the Alouettes, Feeater joins a group of running backs that includes William Stanback, Jeshrun Antwi, Cameron Artis-Payne, Taku Lee, Justin Stockton, Jordan Scarlett and Ryth-Jean Giraud.

The Sparrows’ 2022 training camp is due to begin next Sunday and will take place in Trois-Rivières.
