RJ Barrett, Harden: The 5 highlights of the night in the NBA
– The shock of the East has not kept its promises. Brooklyn crushed Chicago when they could hope for a close game, which only happened for a half. When you get back from the locker room, Kevin Durant and James Harden decided it was time to fold the case.
Harden was particularly bloody with 25 points and 16 assists, with that little treat on his very last of the game.

KD added 27 points, while the rookie Day’Ron Sharpe landed 20 points in 22 minutes. Kyrie Irving played 25 minutes for 9 points.
The night had started badly for the Bulls, forced to see Derrick Jones Jr leaving the field on injury after one minute of play …
Westbrook is still missing, the Lakers are worrying
– The Lakers unfortunately forgot that a game included two halves … After showing some control until the break on the floor of Sacramento, LA completely twisted. – Life without Rudy Gobert continues to be an ordeal for Jazz. Utah lost a fourth consecutive game without its French pivot, tonight at home against Cleveland. With Royce O’Neale in pivot (Whiteside is in Covid protocol), the Jazz did not know how to do much better than on its last outings.
The Cavs mastered the game with Darius Garland author of his first triple-double in the NBA (11 pts, 15 pds, 10 rebounds) and good contributions fromEvan Mobley (15 pts, 10 rbds, 7 pds), Lauri Markkanen (20 pts), Kevin Love (16 pts) or the astonishing Lamar Stevens, who scored 15 of his 23 points (personal best) in the 3rd quarter.

– Nice night for the Knicks at home. New York ended the Mavs’ 6-game winning streak, RJ Barrett (32 pts) continued to walk on the water, Mitchell Robinson had his best offensive match of the season (19 pts, 10 rebounds) and Julius Randle (17 pts, 12 rbds, 8 pds) was not booed by the public.
The audience in Madison Square Garden has no short memories and remembers that Frank Ntilikina, despite the disappointment he represented in the end, was one of his favorites. The Frenchman’s 3-point basket in garbage time was warmly welcomed by Garden fans.
– Boston remained on 6 defeats in a row away from home. Jaylen Brown (34 pts) et Jayson Tatum (33 pts) have decided to put an end to this bad series on the floor of the Pacers, with the help of Dennis Schröder (23 pts). The stampede continues for Indiana, who in addition to losing for the 8th time in 9 games, saw the return of Malcolm Brogdon cut short by achilles tendon pain.

Hayward and Charlotte quit Philly and a nasty streak
– It was a playoff night in Philadelphia. Not that of Joel Embiid, who slammed an 8th game in a row with at least 30 points on the clock (a fifth in a row with 31 pts all stack). But that of the Sixers, who remained on 7 consecutive victories, and that of the Hornets, who had not beaten Philly for 16 (!) Matches, or nearly 5 years. It was the longest active streak of one-sided matches between two NBA franchises.
The man of the match is called Gordon Hayward, who landed his first 9 shots to set the tone and closed the game with 30 points and a leading role in this success.
But also…
– Miami continues to start games with a team that you would barely think capable of winning an NBA game … and winning NBA games. On the floor of Atlanta, the group of Erik Spoelstra took the upper hand with a third champagne quarter and shots of brilliance Tyler Herro (21 pts, 11 pds) and Caleb Martin (18 pts).
The Heat is missing 6 players, including Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo … We will have to consider giving Spo a Coach of the Year title one day, anyway …
Holder for Atlanta, Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot only played 13 minutes.
– Wednesday, we had put Eric Gordon prominently in the list of players for whom it would be interesting to set up a trade before the deadline. The Rockets full-back was obviously flattered and figured it would be a good idea to score 31 points and guide his team to a derby victory over San Antonio.
As Houston remained on three straight losses, Gordon’s 31 points in 10 shots helped the Texans get through the fine night of Dejounte murray (32 pts, career record, 11 pds, 10 rebounds). The Spurs are in the hard and are four losses in a row.

– Kyle Kuzma and the Wizards continued their momentum with a third straight win to continue their comeback in the East. In the absence of Bradley Beal, Kuzma was again the most impactful player and came very close to the triple-double (19 pts, 10 rebounds, 9 wt) in the home victory against Orlando.
