Kostas Lamprou will leave RKC Waalwijk for PEC Zwolle. That reports the Brabants Dagblad. The 29-year-old goalkeeper has agreed on a transfer ‘in broad terms’.
Lamprou (29) impressed last season at RKC, which managed to maintain itself as number fifteen in the Eredivisie. Because his contract expires in more than three weeks, he is transfer-free. The Greek goalkeeper prefers a switch to PEC Zwolle over a new contract with RKC.
PEC becomes the seventh Dutch employer of the Athens-born Lamprou, after periods at Feyenoord, Excelsior, Willem II, Ajax, Vitesse and RKC. The goalkeeper was responsible for by far the most saves in the Eredivisie this season. He also saved three penalties.
Slobodan Tedic became the first summer reinforcement in Zwolle last week: the striker was also rented from Manchester City last season. Kenneth Paal and top talent Rav van den Berg (16) threaten to leave the club from Overijssel.
