Reportedly, the NBA reduced executives’ wages by 20%

20 percent off, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. “data-reagid =” 16 “> The NBA is taking cost-cutting measures to try to overcome the coronavirus pandemic. With the regular season postponed indefinitely, the NBA will reduce its top wages -100 executives 20 percent off, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

That group includes Commissioner Adam Silver and Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum.

The NBA suspended its season indefinitely after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for coronavirus. The championship action has pushed other professional sports leagues to follow suit. Shortly after the NBA postponed the games, NFL, MLB and NHL, among many others, followed suit.

Numerous leagues have struggled on how to manage wages since games have been postponed indefinitely. While many teams offered to pay arena workers during the pandemic, others – such as the 76er from Philadelphia – had to be ashamed of the idea. With the NBA taking the courageous step in reducing pay among its top executives, this could convince every other team – and the professional sports league – to once again follow the NBA’s lead.

What will the NBA do with regards to player salaries?

The NBA is still debating on how to manage player salaries during the coronavirus shutdown. The league runs until April 15 before the next payday. The league plans to make a decision on how to manage pay before that date.
