“We suffered for the first 10 minutes, gave the ball too much and we couldn’t get any continuity in our game. In the second half, apart from the kicks placed, we controlled the game much better.
“We could have put the tie in a better position. We had positions and possibilities where we expected players to put the ball on the net.
“We are going game by game. There are many things that we want to improve. I still see things that mean that we cannot control the game and damage the opponent. But we are playing very hard. We had three players with cramps, which in the end fought “.
Arsenal’s next match is against Everton on Sunday. At the moment it is not clear whether Ozil will be in the running to play.
Ozil married former Miss Turkey, Gulse, last year. The couple is expecting their first child.
