Six teams currently in the running to land Minkah Fitzpatrick, an agreement could be reached Tuesday

-

Minkah Fitzpatrick will likely be on a new NFL team on Tuesday, announced Jason La Canfora, CBS Sports' insider in the NFL. The Canfora reported Monday night Washington, Dallas, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Seattle are "all in the game" to land Fitzpatrick, a versatile defensive back who recently called for an exchange in Miami.

Canfora added that the Dolphins were expecting a first-round value for Fitzpatrick, who was selected for the first round in the NFL draft in 2018. On Sunday, The Canfora reported than about 20 teams Fitzpatrick, who has enjoyed both corner-half and safety time during his brief career in the NFL. As a rookie, he broke nine assists while recording two interceptions in 11 starts. On Sunday, despite the commercial rumors that dominated him, Fitzpatrick recorded six tackles, as well as a forced fumble and recovered in Miami's loss to New England.

The Canfora designating the Cowboys as a possible landing place for Fitzpatrick goes in the direction of what the writer of CBS Sports NFL, Patrik Walker recently wrote as far as Fitzpatrick 's chances of finally landing in Dallas are concerned. Walker wrote that the Cowboys might be interested in sending out the former Taco Charlton first round pick and a middle round pick for Fitzpatrick, which would help the Cowboys consolidate their high school.

CBS Benjamin's Cody Benjamin and Dan Schneier recently ranked the Eagles, Chiefs, Packers, Giants and Steelers the first five landings for Fitzpatrick. Although the Giants are not among the teams mentioned above by La Canfora, the other four teams that Benjamin and Schneier talked about could add Fitzpatrick to their defense over the next 24 hours.

Fitzpatrick signed a $ 16,447,773 four-year contract with the Dolphins before the start of his rookie season. Fitzpatrick would be a good deal for a team looking for a versatile defender able to play both safely and in a corner. Fitzpatald of OverTheCap.com, Fitzpatrick has already received about 64 percent of his rookie contractthat means anyone who trades against him will only owe him a little over a third of his rookie contract.

The rear defensive 6-foot-2 and 202-pound played in Alabama before being fished out by the Dolphins. Fitzpatrick, captain of the Alabama National Championship team in 2017, has been a unanimous All-American this season and has been a recipient of the Bednarik and Thorpe Awards.
