Shenzhen (China) – "I do not think it's a problem for him," YSG ambassador Yuri Djorkaeff said about the mercato noises around Neymar.
"When you are a great player, when you are a star, it's normal (…) that a club wants to buy you. It's normal. It's the life of a big star. I do not think it's a problem for him", commented the former PSG striker, in Shenzhen, on the sidelines of a PSG training currently on summer tour in China.
"At the moment, everything is fine because it is here (in Shenzhen), it is the most important", supplemented the former French international." Asked about the possibility for PSG to lose a great player in the transfer window, the one who also played Monaco or Inter Milan, said: "It's the life of a club (…) everywhere, but at this moment, the PSG does not lose anyone".
Neymar, who wants to return to Barça and whose fate is uncertain, is part of the group of 33 players selected by PSG for its tour in China. On Wednesday, in Shenzhen, the Brazilian, who returns from injury, has trained separately.
Rumors about a possible start of Neymar – arrived at PSG in the summer of 2017 for the record sum of 222 million euros – have phagocyted the news of the transfer window in recent weeks.
– Liverpool, "an inspiration"-
Barcelona would have proposed to Paris SG to exchange Neymar against Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembélé or Ivan Rakitic, as well as 40 million euros, according to L'Equipe and several Spanish media.
But, in front of the pickups, Barça plays low profile, as vice-president Blaugrana Jordi Cardoner has done recently: "there is no record of Neymar (…) it seems that the player is not happy (in Paris) but we do not comment".
Djorkaeff has also spoken on the Champions League, main goal of PSG since its passage in Qatari in the summer of 2011. "Liverpool, two years ago, they lost the final (of the C1), they did not change a single player, and today, with the same group, a year later, they win the Champions League . This is a good example (…) a (source of) inspiration. Can the PSG do it? I'm sure yes".
In China, PSG face friendly Inter Milan Saturday in Macau and Sydney FC Tuesday, July 30 in Suzhou. The first official meeting of the season is Saturday, August 3 in Shenzhen against Rennes, winner of the Coupe de France, for the Champions Trophy.
