Patrick Bamford managed to brace the three points against Preston North End at Deepdale to reach, and the whites are moving back into automatic spots Sky Bet Championships.
Leeds threatened directly from the start, with Tyler Roberts striking from a narrow angle on the left edge of the box, requiring Declan Rudd to stop early.
Almost Pontus Jansson was near the end of Pablo Hernandez corner in 11th placeth minutes, before Roberts went over the target, but no Leeds player could submit it.
Preston Nmecha had a first chance to get Preston's moment, Alan Browne relieved him of the ball, but the first fire could only make the clean side out of a sharp angle.
Leeds then broke through Patrick Bamford, from which Pablo Hernandez had a low cross for Ezgjan Alioski to strike, but his effort went far.
The Whites continued to push for an opener and they didn't get it when Mateusz Klich canceled the ball for Bamford just inside the Preston box, but his strike was too high.
Then Hernandez cut well before he went on the goal from 20 yards, but because Bamford could not keep his best down.
Klich went briefly close to breaking the dead in the 31st minutes, his low efforts went from the edge of the box just inches across the job, and Rudd was hitting.
Before the break, there were two descendants from Hernandez, with one blocked and Rudd being saved as the two teams entered the break level.

The home side was reduced to 10 men less than five minutes into the second half. Ben Pearson brought down Bamford who was on target, 30 yards out and was given his marching orders.
From the free kick, as a result, Kalvin Phillips hit, and his strike going straight over, hitting the roof of the net.
Then Luke Ayling went on the balloon before he went up with Roberts, but he saw that his attempt was severely hampered.
Hernandez Roberts played a beautiful play play on the area and Rudd spilled with Bamford to cross but the Preston stopper stayed in time.
Leeds was doing more men and broke again with Bamford driving forward, hitting the goal, pushing Rudd to stop.
The dead was eventually brokenth minutes, when Bamford ruled before an alarming strike into the left corner from 25 yards, to leave the 5,426 supporters wild.
Three minutes later, Leeds almost made both of them, with Bamford supplier turning to Ayling to strike, but he saw that his effort went aside from the job.
Leeds sealed the 14-minute victory from time to time, Klich took a cross from the right and Bamford returned home.
The striker wore a hat at a stop, when he went on the target, but was unable to do so and Rudd saw a good try at Rudd, as the Whites went back on track, before another huge match Saturday against Sheffield Wednesday.
