The Portuguese coach regrets that he has committed Sanchez (image: Getty). Jose Mourinho regrets the purchase of Alexis Sanchez and believes that Manchester United made a mistake by not signing Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
It is believed that the Chilean in Old Trafford is unhappy and wants to leave the club. He has lost his place in the team to Anthony Martial and scored only one goal in all competitions this season.
Mourinho was surprised by his sudden drop in performance, and the Times claims he privately admitted that United had signed the wrong winger.

Mourinho feels that his team does not have a brilliant crosser to take advantage of their height advantage, and was disappointed with Sanchez's final product.
Perisic would have offered superior crossing skills while feeling that he would have preferred the style of play propagated by Mourinho.
Sanchez has not dealt with Mourinho's leadership style and, according to The Times, some of his teammates believe he is intimidated after the manager's defeats.

The United Nations chief believes he should be far more prolific than he is and now holds him in the left pecking order behind Anthony Martial. The Frenchman has scored five goals in his last four Premier League appearances.
