TORONTO. Blake Snell pitched five perfect innings and then was retired, the rookie
Puerto Rican Michael Perez hit the first home run of his career and the Rays
of Tampa Bay beat the Blue Jays 7-0 in Toronto. In their second
opening since he spent some time on the disabled list due to
fatigue in the shoulder, Snell (13-5) made 47 pitches. The left-handed star struck
to six.Pérez, in his
tenth game in the majors, hit a home run of two races in the
