Thanks to a last-minute goal by access Paco Alcácer, league leaders Borussia Dortmund celebrated their fifth win of the season in the Bundesliga. The BVB won Saturday against FC Augsburg in a spectacular game with 4: 3 (0: 1). The three times successful Alcácer (62./80./90.+6.) And Mario Götze with the interim 3: 2 (84.) seven minutes after his first substitution in this Bundesliga season ensured the Dortmund goal.
Götze was back in the squad for the first time after four games and met his brother Felix on Saturday, who had come into play at Augsburg 14 minutes earlier. Alcácer, on loan from FC Barcelona, has six league goals after three Bundesliga substitutions with a total of 81 minutes of play time and heads the scorers list. The FCA had been twice in the lead by Alfred Finnbogason (22) and Philipp Max (71), Michael Gregoritsch had beheaded the 3: 3 (87). With eight points Augsburg is in the table midfielder.
The guests were initially completely unimpressed by the strong series of BVB with 14 goals in three competitive matches and tore the game in the initial phase by surprise: In the fourth minute were already 3: 0 corners recorded for the FCA. And the Augsburg had the first good opportunity when André Hahn failed from an acute angle to BVB keeper Roman Bürki (9).
After ten minutes, the championship leader was at least slowly in the game, especially the last outstanding Jadon Sancho and Marco Reus caused in the interplay from time to time for danger. In the 15th minute, Reus missed after a Sancho-crossing the 1: 0 – after an almost identical move the captain had hit in the previous week in Leverkusen.
But the FCA were not intimidated and were rewarded when Finnbogason pushed the ball into the net after a free kick by Philipp Max and a mistake by Dan-Axel Zagadou under Bürki's stomach. Only then did the game go the way it was supposed to have gone from kick-off: Dortmund pushed, Augsburg defended. Really inventive was the BVB until the break but not. Without Alcácer missing the attacking partner in the storm center, Maximilian Philipp did not convince in this role again. At break there were a few whistles.
In the 49th minute they were a bit louder, as the Augsburg had the 0: 2 on the foot. But first Finnbogason failed to Bürki, then the advanced Jeffrey Gouweleeuw. Ten minutes later, Favre then brought Alcácer – who hit promptly after Jadon Sancho's cross. The young Englishman Sancho underpinned with his sixth assist his reputation as currently the best preparer in Europe.
However, the Augsburger playing increasingly hard as the game progressed remained dangerous: Finnbogason hit the bar (63.), shortly after Max met. When Augsburg after 3: 3, the point seemed to be safe, Alcácer hit again free-kick.
Schalke freed himself in Dusseldorf
With the third victory in series, the FC Schalke 04 has recovered from his Bundesliga false start with five defeats in a row and continued the small upswing. The championship second of last year prevailed at Fortuna Dusseldorf with 2: 0 (0: 0). The climber, who last won 22 years ago a home game against Schalke, remained so in the fourth game one after another winless. In front of 52,000 spectators in the sold-out Düsseldorf Arena, Weston McKennie (48th minute) and Guido Burgstaller (53rd) scored the goals for the visitors.
Stuttgart slips to 18th place
Two goals from newcomer Bobby Wood gave Hannover 96 its first win of the season in its seventh attempt. The bottom of the league table of the Bundesliga won on Saturday with 3: 1 (2: 0) against VfB Stuttgart and thus moved on points with the team of former 96-coach Tayfun Korkut equal. US striker Wood scored in the 30th minute and in injury time in the first half (45. + 1) each head. Ihlas Bebou made it clear shortly before the final whistle (90 + 1). Despite the impact hit by Mario Gomez (50th) VfB was an ideal opponent in front of 40,800 spectators. Only a week after their success against Werder Bremen disappointed the Stuttgart especially in the first half – and slipped in the table to last place.
Mainz manage 0: 0 against Hertha BSC
Hertha BSC has had to take a damper at FSV Mainz 05. A week after the success against Bayern, the Berlin came at the now four games scoreless Mainz not over a 0-0. Although defended the Hertha first ranked third in the Bundesliga, but in the evening Bayern can pass by.
