Archers from across the region gathered in Toay for the sixth date of the FATARCO outdoor archery league, featuring strong turnouts from local clubs and competitive divisions ranging from youth development categories to senior longbow classes.
FATARCO Outdoor League Stage Draws Regional Clubs to Toay
The latest outdoor tournament organized by the Federación Argentina de Tiro con Arco (FATARCO) brought together multiple archery associations and clubs at the Toay venue. Participants competed across technical outdoor distances, testing their precision in recurve, barebow, compound, and longbow disciplines. Among the competing delegations were Flechas Pampas from Santa Rosa, GUDAT based in Toay, Palihue from Bahía Blanca, Club Barrio Alegre, Club Náutico Santa Rosa, Villa Regina from Río Gallegos, and Caciques Trenque Lauquen.
Youth Development Divisions Showcase Rising Talent
Young competitors set the pace in the introductory and youth brackets, highlighted by standout scores in the Under-13 and Under-15 recurve and barebow events. Trinidad Domínguez of GUDAT led the Recurvado Sub-13 15-meter division with a score of 618 points, followed by Delfina Cassan of Caciques Trenque Lauquen with 372 points.
In the Recurvado Sub-15 category at 40 meters, Josefina García Pescara of Flechas Pampa captured first place with 566 points, ahead of Alma Bay from Caciques Trenque Lauquen, who scored 531 points. Meanwhile, in the youth compound division for under-18 competitors, Ignacio Vicente of Caciques Trenque Lauquen posted a winning total of 639 points.
Barebow youth categories also saw intense competition over short and medium distances. Benjamín Ernst of Tiro Federal Pigué topped the Under-13 15-meter barebow group with 308 points, while Catalina Palacios of Caciques Trenque Lauquen secured second. In the under-18 barebow 20-meter division, Luca Tarsia of Caciques Trenque Lauquen claimed top honors with 392 points.
Senior and Intermediate Barebow and Recurve Standouts
Intermediate and senior divisions featured deep fields in both recurve and barebow disciplines. In the Recurvado E 20 category, Natalia López of Tiro Federal Pigué earned first place with 603 points, outpacing Tomás Collareda of Caciques Trenque Lauquen, who finished second with 543 points.
The barebow E20-meter division featured Sofia Schiavelli of GUDAT taking first with 522 points, ahead of Mercedes Arias of Trenque Lauquen with 346 points. At the 30-meter barebow distance, Diego Enrietti of GUDAT led the field with 547 points. Yanina Andiarena followed closely for Caciques Trenque Lauquen with 520 points, narrowly edging clubmate Walter Morales, who scored 517 points. Federico Cassan took fourth with 445 points, Angel Grisson of Club Barrio Alegre finished fifth with 443 points, and Walter Andrés Morales rounded out the standings for Caciques Trenque Lauquen with 332 points.
At the 40-meter barebow mark, Juan Cruz Avalis of Club Barrio Alegre posted a winning score of 571 points. Vilma Cervera of GUDAT took second with 549 points, and Juan Miguel Zabala of GUDAT placed third with 502 points.
Men’s Barebow and Longbow Podium Finishes
In the senior men’s barebow division, Jonathan Diser of Flechas Pampas claimed victory with 531 points, followed by Daniel Bay of Caciques Trenque Lauquen with 508 points and Walter Carmona of Caciques Trenque Lauquen with 478 points.
The elimination rounds for the barebow men’s class mirrored the ranking rounds at the top, with Jonathan Diser of Flechas Pampa taking first place. Walter Carmona of Caciques Trenque Lauquen finished second, and Federico Minor of Club Atlético Regina took third.
In the men’s longbow category, Claudio Rivero of Club Náutico captured first place with 556 points, while Javier Morales of Caciques Trenque Lauquen finished second with 391 points.
