The Kano Tournai judo club has finalized its event schedule for the final stretch of the 2024-2025 season, with programming running from late April through June 28, 2025.
Spring Technical Training and Development
The club opened its advanced training block on April 28, 2025, with a series of technical perfection sessions. These intensive workshops were scheduled to run through May 2, followed by a second session from May 5 to May 6. These programs were designed for club members to sharpen their judo techniques under consistent coaching guidance.
May Competitive and Community Schedule
Following the initial training period, the club’s operations shifted toward regional competition and community engagement. On May 7 and May 9, the club held standard training sessions for all age categories, ranging from U7 and U9 groups up to the U15+ division. This was followed by participation in the Bekers van Gent tournament on May 11, specifically for U15 and U18 athletes.
Community outreach remained a priority throughout May, highlighted by a Parents-Children session on May 16. The club also dedicated time to women’s judo development, hosting a special session on May 30 that ran from 17:30 until 21:00.

June Father’s Day Special and End-of-Season Events
Kano Tournai scheduled a unique session for June 6, inviting fathers to join their children on the tatami in celebration of Father’s Day. This event allowed parents to participate in a practice session to foster engagement and shared learning within the club’s family-focused framework.
The competitive season for the club includes representation at the Venray International Tournament, held on June 21 and 22. Registration for this international event is now closed, marking the final major competitive checkpoint for participating athletes.
Season Conclusion at Ecole d’Esplechin
The 2024-2025 sporting year for Kano Tournai will conclude with a community barbecue on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The event is scheduled to take place at the Ecole d’Esplechin from 18:00 to 23:30. This gathering serves as the official wrap-up for the season, bringing together judokas, coaching staff, families, and supporters to mark the end of the current training cycle.
