The start of the season serves as a formal handover from the previous administration, which oversaw the club’s operations for several years. The incoming Board of Directors, composed of individuals long associated with the club, has characterized this move as a continuation of established goals rather than a change in direction. The new board members expressed their commitment to the role, emphasizing that the club functions as more than just a football organization. Growth in Youth and Women’s Football

The registration of 16 teams and over 350 players marks a record high for the club and highlights its role in local youth development. A central pillar of this expansion is the continued growth of the women’s section, which now accounts for more than one-third of the club’s total membership. The program covers age groups ranging from alevín to senior levels.

To support this upward trend, the club has introduced a new Senior B women’s team this season. This addition is intended to provide a clearer pathway for players transitioning from youth categories, ensuring they have the opportunity to continue their development within the club. This follows a period of on-field success, with several teams earning promotions in recent years.

Men’s Football and Performance Benchmarks

The men’s football program currently fields 10 teams with a total of more than 200 players. The Senior A squad enters the season looking to build on its performance after successfully maintaining its league status last year. The Senior B side begins the campaign following a championship-winning season that resulted in their promotion to the Segunda Regional.

Membership Drive and Community Engagement

Alongside the presentation of its squads, Ezkurdi has initiated a new membership campaign under the slogan “HERRIA SORTUZ! IZAN ZAITEZ EZKURDI!” (Building the Town! Be Ezkurdi!). The campaign aims to broaden the club’s base by inviting supporters of all ages to join as official members. The club has designed various membership tiers to encourage participation from the wider community in Durango.
