The Saint-Thégonnec judo club has officially reopened its training sessions in the basement of the municipal canteen, welcoming local children back to the tatamis under the instruction of veteran coach David Bizouarn. Operating each Tuesday evening, the program accommodates participants starting from five years of age while structuring groups to match different skill levels and physical development.
Training Schedule and Group Divisions
To ensure safe and productive instruction, club leadership has divided the roster into two distinct age and ability brackets. Sessions run every Tuesday from 17:00 to 18:00 local time for children aged five to seven, followed by an older group from 18:15 to 19:15 for participants eight years and older. According to club organizers, these divisions account for varying physical statures and belt ranks among the young athletes.
Coaching Leadership and Regional Partnerships
Training sessions are led by David Bizouarn, a state-certified instructor approved by social cohesion authorities who holds a sixth-dan black belt. Beyond local weekly workouts at the municipal canteen basement, the club maintains an active partnership with organizations within the Kumo grouping. This collaboration allows registered members to train at affiliated partner clubs without incurring any additional membership fees or surcharges.
Trial Sessions and Membership Access
Families interested in joining the program can utilize a final free trial session scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, which includes complimentary kimono loans for newcomers trying out the sport. Jessica Peanne serves as the club president and manages administrative inquiries for the organization. Interested participants and parents can contact club leadership directly via telephone at 06 07 76 28 47 or through email.
