During the September 19 gatherings, club members divided their efforts across multiple locations to introduce newcomers to traditional archery. At the club’s headquarters located at 26 Grande rue in Nogent-l’Artaud, organizers Didier and Aline welcomed visitors for the club’s second open house event. Attendees toured the facilities, talked with veteran archers, and tried out the equipment during introductory shooting sessions.
Simultaneously, two members traveled to Rebais in the neighboring Seine-et-Marne department. Representing the Archers de Dame Aline at an invitation-only discovery day hosted by the Annet-sur-Marne company, the participants demonstrated techniques to new audiences and forged links with other regional archery groups.
Consolidating Growth and Membership Numbers
These coordinated activities pushed total enrollment to 20 members, blending returning archers and new recruits. Club organizers pointed to municipal backing from Nogent-l’Artaud as a key factor in establishing a physical presence and securing local support within the southern Aisne territory.
With general enrollment currently closed, leadership is shifting focus from recruitment to structured instruction. The club’s immediate priority centers on mentoring new members, teaching safety rules, and passing down the traditions of the sport.
