Law enforcement officials in the Czech Republic have opened criminal proceedings against two men aged 20 and 28 following a violent clash during a match in Trutnov. According to police statements released by spokesperson Šárka Pižlová, both individuals face official charges of disorderly conduct, while the younger suspect carries an additional felony charge of causing grievous bodily harm.

How the Altercation Unfolded at the Venue

Investigators report that the incident began with a verbal argument between the parties before escalating into physical violence near the match venue. The younger suspect allegedly struck one of the victims directly in the face with a punch so forceful that the victim collapsed onto the concrete surface, where he remained unconscious.

When a companion attempted to intervene and defend the fallen individual, the situation worsened. Police state the same 20-year-old assailant grabbed the second victim by the neck, dragged him to the ground, and delivered another punch to the face. As the second victim tried to stand back up, the suspect kicked him in the back. The older 28-year-old suspect then joined the confrontation, allegedly striking the second victim with a punch as well.

Medical Status and Extent of Injuries

The severity of the assault required immediate medical intervention. The second victim suffered a broken nose and received treatment at the local hospital in Trutnov.

Medical personnel and responding authorities quickly documented the injuries, which formed the foundation for the subsequent felony charges filed by local investigators.

Suspect Background and Legal Proceedings

Court records and police findings reveal that the 20-year-old suspect has a documented history of violent crime involving physical attacks and severe injuries. He was previously convicted and sentenced under a binding court ruling, completing his most recent prison sentence in June of this year.

Because of his criminal record and the violent nature of the Trutnov derby incident, prosecutors requested a custody remand. The District Court in Trutnov granted the request, placing the younger suspect behind bars while awaiting trial. If convicted on all counts, he faces up to eight years in prison. The 28-year-old co-defendant is being prosecuted while free and faces a maximum sentence of up to two years.
