In the women’s singles bracket, Putri Kusuma Wardani matched her male teammates by moving comfortably into the round of 16. Putri KW defeated Pakistan’s Mahoor Shahzad 21-5, 21-11 with a commanding performance. Thalita was eliminated by Vietnam’s Nguyen Thuy Linh after dropping her match in straight games, 15-21, 10-21.

Indonesia’s doubles division provided some of the day’s strongest highlights as two pairs advanced past the round of 16 directly into the quarterfinals. Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri dispatched Hong Kong’s Cheung Sai Shing and Deng Chi Fai 21-10, 21-17. Meanwhile, Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin overcame a tense second-game battle to defeat Thailand’s Peeratchai Sukphun and Pakpoon Teeraratsakul 21-8, 24-22.
