The 22-year-old left-hander, selected third overall in the 2025 draft, showed the poise that has marked his rapid ascent through the minor leagues.
Anderson worked efficiently through his outing, throwing 53 strikes on 81 pitches. He set the tone immediately in the opening frame, retiring the Cubs in order and capping the 1-2-3 inning by forcing Cubs star Alex Bregman into a swinging strikeout.
