The Marrakech Court of Appeal has reduced the prison sentence of content creator Soukaina Jannah, widely known as Soukaina Glamour, from ten months to five months of firm imprisonment, according to judicial reports published Thursday. The ruling also scales back restrictions on her social media usage following her arrest last summer.

The case stems from charges of public indecency related to a live broadcast on social media platforms.
Alongside the reduced jail time, the appellate court modified the digital restrictions placed on Jannah. As detailed by Hespress Français, the prohibition preventing her from accessing and utilizing social media networks was lowered from three years to one year. However, the court maintained the financial penalty of a 500 dirham fine established during the initial trial.

The legal proceedings began in August when computer monitoring services flagged specific sequences from a live-streamed video featuring Jannah showcasing interior clothing items. Authorities considered the broadcasted content to be an infraction against public decency standards.
Following an opened judicial investigation by security forces, police detained Jannah on August 12 at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca as she prepared to leave Morocco. The initial trial by the Marrakech court resulted in a conviction carrying a ten-month prison sentence, a 500 dirham fine, and a three-year ban on digital platforms before the recent appellate review halved the incarceration period.

Public records show that this legal action follows an earlier high-profile case involving Jannah. She previously served a two-year prison sentence handed down in connection with the « Hamza mon bb » social media dossier, a term she completed between 2019 and 2021.
