The Compagnie des archers mâconnais hosted open house sessions following a busy early-autumn calendar featuring local forums, club competitions, and strong national championship performances by its roster, according to local club reports.
National Successes Highlight Recent Club Form
Archers from the Mâcon-based club delivered notable finishes across multiple French national championship categories over the summer months. At the French TAE Championship for categories held in Riom, Eloïse Dorier placed fifth in senior female compound, while Marie-Pierre Prabel secured eighth place in the senior-3 female compound division, as documented by club records.
Additional youth results featured Artur Louis Tinel taking 17th in the under-21 men’s classic division and Evan Garnier finishing ninth in the under-21 men’s compound category during the youth championships in Saint-Avertin.
Strong Barebow and Compound Showings at Ecouen
The club achieved multiple podium finishes at the French 3D Championship held in Ecouen from August 13 to August 16. Arthur Peridon claimed the bronze medal in the under-21/senior-1 men’s barebow division, while Adrien Magnien finished fifth. In the same discipline, Léna Mourey placed ninth in the under-21/senior-1 women’s barebow class, and Romain Buiron took seventh in senior-2 men’s barebow.
In the compound events, Florian Laurens captured the bronze medal in scratch men’s compound. According to club reports detailing the match, Garnier finished tied at 83 targets in the small final before securing victory with an 11-point arrow in the subsequent barrage. Olivier Garnier placed 25th in senior-2 men’s compound.
Kevin Michon rounded out the podium placements for the club by earning a bronze medal in the under-21/senior-1 men’s hunting bow division.
Local Calendar and Upcoming Open House Events
Following participation in the 123 Macon event and the Beursault competition—which featured three starting slots on Saturday and three on Sunday—the Compagnie des archers mâconnais organized open house sessions on September 12 and September 13 at the club facilities.
Club organizers confirmed that new memberships opened immediately following the summer events, providing local residents an opportunity to discover archery disciplines ranging from traditional target archery to 3D and Beursault shooting formats.
