Saltillo Prepares to Host Archery World Cup Final
The Archery World Cup Final will generate an economic impact exceeding 10 million pesos for Saltillo, according to estimates shared by municipal authorities. City leadership confirmed that the historic capital of Coahuila is fully prepared to host the international competition on the Plaza de Armas, bringing elite target sports to a central urban venue.
Official activities for the tournament run from September 10 through September 13, with the primary medal competitions scheduled for Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13. Organizers structured the event to showcase both recurve and compound divisions across women’s and men’s categories, marking the definitive conclusion of the global archery circuit for the season.
Venue Capacity and International Field
According to municipal administration reports, the downtown venue features specialized grandstands engineered to seat more than mil 500 spectators.
Local fans will watch four regional athletes take the shooting line as part of a broader seven-member national delegation representing Mexico. The domestic roster features prominent coahuilenses competitors, including Matías Grande, Ana Paula Vázquez, Dafne Quintero, and Sebastián García, competing against the top-ranked archers in the world.
Global Broadcast Reach and Local Logistics
Municipal officials highlighted the extensive media footprint planned for the tournament, with live feeds and highlights scheduled for broadcast across 70 countries. Organizers intend to leverage the international television coverage to highlight local culture, traditions, and regional gastronomy for a worldwide audience.
To manage the influx of visitors and technical equipment in the downtown district, municipal agencies prepared a specific transit and security plan for the Historic Center. Authorities stated that traffic closures will be strictly limited to minimize disruptions for local residents while maintaining secure, efficient access around the Plaza de Armas competition zone.

The staging of the international tournament represents a coordinated effort among multiple sports governance and civil authorities. The organizational framework brings together the State Government of Coahuila, the Municipality of Saltillo, the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (CONADE), and World Archery México.
