The competition takes place across three distinct venues in the city: Club El Mirador, alongside the municipal facilities of Francisco Norte and Paco Cantos. According to Marbella’s sports councillor Lisandro Vieytes, the city is holding this official event for the fourth edition, cementing its status as a hub for youth padel. The tournament represents the seventh of eight stops on the Andalusian youth circuit before the calendar concludes with a final event in Córdoba and the master tournament in Jaén.
Heavy Attendance Expected Alongside Other Major Sporting Events
Local organizers project a significant visitor turnout for the September weekend. José Pérez, president of the Federación Andaluza de Pádel, noted that with 300 participating players aged roughly between 7 and 18, accompanied by approximately 600 parents and additional supporters, the event could draw nearly 1,000 attendees to the area. The tournament window coincides with a busy sports weekend in the region, running concurrently with the Vuelta Ciclista a España’s passage through San Pedro Alcántara and a basketball match between Real Madrid and La Laguna Tenerife at the Pabellón Sergio Scariolo, as highlighted by municipal officials.

Federation leadership emphasizes the high competitive standard found within the youth divisions. According to Pérez, competitors in the upper age categories stand on the threshold of professional play, with several already active in circuits of first level. Diego Lozano, representing Club El Mirador, pointed out that numerous athletes who previously competed in these junior brackets have successfully transitioned into the elite of the sport.

Play gets underway on Friday, September 11, starting at 17:00 local time across Club El Mirador and the designated municipal courts. Matches continue through Saturday, with championship finals scheduled for Sunday at Club El Mirador. Municipal and sports leaders, including representatives from the Ayuntamiento, the Diputación de Málaga, and the Junta de Andalucía, have collaborated to back the logistics and facilities required for the multi-venue competition.
