Badminton Esbjerg has opened its 1st division campaign with a commanding 7-2 home victory against Højbjerg 2, establishing an early statement of intent in the regional badminton landscape.
Last season, Højbjerg 2 secured a 6-3 victory over the Esbjerg side, making this opening-round result a notable turnaround for the hosts on their home court.
Badminton Esbjerg added Ukrainian international player Mariia Stoliarenko to the roster during the offseason, while Martin Harbo Andersen departed for OBK, according to regional reporting by Ole Bruun. The club’s current bruttoskad includes Lærke Thomsen, Trine Nedergaard, Mette Bannerholt, Mariia Stoliarenko, Heli Neiman, Mochamed Rehan Diaz, Erik Olsen, Easton Watson, Thomas Jensen, and Oliver Lee Nowak, with plans to integrate two upcoming Indian players into the squad.
