The Las Vegas Raiders and local officials have secured a substantial financial package to upgrade Allegiant Stadium ahead of Super Bowl LXIII, scheduled for 2029. According to local reporting, the Las Vegas Stadium Authority voted unanimously to allocate up to 75 million de dólares from the Waterfall Residual Fund toward a 158 million de dólares renovation project focused on the venue’s north entry.
Funding Structure and Public Impact
The capital injection will not require additional taxes from citizens or draw from the state’s general fund, according to project disclosures. Public financing is drawn entirely from surplus collections generated by hotel room taxes. This public contribution will be paired with more than 83 million de dólares funded directly by the franchise.

“We are deeply grateful with the Stadium Authority for this ongoing alliance while we work hand in hand to ensure that Allegiant Stadium continues to be a world-class destination for Las Vegas and for all of Raider Nation,” Raiders owner Mark Davis said in a statement.
The venue previously hosted Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024, when the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
Infrastructure and Architectural Upgrades
Designed by the architecture firm Grimshaw, the redesign targets congestion issues around the north entry. The construction plans aim to ease pedestrian flow from the Hacienda Avenue bridge, a critical artery utilized by thousands of fans attending games and concerts.
Key components of the 158 million de dólares project include:
- A newly constructed outdoor plaza featuring a protective canopy for open-air gatherings.
- A dedicated pickup and drop-off zone specifically configured for rideshare platforms.
- Structural preparations to accommodate a potential future connection to The Boring Company underground transit system.

Economic Footprint and Timeline
Since opening its doors, Allegiant Stadium has hosted more than seven million visitors and generated a reported economic impact exceeding 10 mil 600 millones de dólares for the region.
Heavy construction on the north entry renovations is scheduled to begin during the third quarter of 2027. Project managers expect all work to conclude by late 2028, leaving the facility fully operational well before kickoff for Super Bowl LXIII in 2029.
