Sport provided a focal point for recovery. Seidel formed a new partnership with Hamburg-born player Thuc Phuong Ngueyn following a career adjustment. The pair made an immediate impact by winning their debut tournament together at the Luxembourg Open in May 2025.

Other German entries experienced tight matches during the tournament phases in Huelva. The German men’s doubles pair Bjarne Geiss and Jones Ralfy Jansen pushed fourth-seeded Danish duo Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard into a close quarterfinal contest, ultimately falling in straight sets by narrow margins of 19-21 and 20-22.
