Former Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema has officially parted ways with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, terminating his contract by mutual agreement after just six months, according to club announcements.

Al-Hilal confirmed via social media channels that Benzema’s tenure with the club has ended with immediate effect. According to club statements, the decision was reached through a mutual agreement between management and the player. Benzema marked the milestone on Instagram by writing, “One chapter comes to an end,” while Al-Hilal released a tribute video stating they had the privilege of watching one of football’s greats wear their colors for a brief but unforgettable stint.
Benzema originally arrived in Saudi Arabia in February, initially joining Al-Ittihad before making a subsequent move. During his time at his first Saudi club, he scored 54 goals across 83 appearances and secured both the league championship and the domestic cup in 2025. His high-profile move to Al-Hilal lasted only half a year.
