Unió Esportiva Olot and the Consorci d’Acció Social de la Garrotxa (CASG) have launched a formal collaboration. The partnership brings participants from the Sostre 360 project directly into the club’s first-team setup as volunteer equipment assistants, according to official club announcements.

The agreement establishes a structured framework for young people supported by the Sostre 360 initiative to integrate into a community sports environment. Under the terms of the project, participating youths work alongside the technical staff from Monday through Saturday mornings. Their responsibilities include handling training gear preparation, equipment collection, and assisting the physical conditioning coach both during weekly routines and at home fixtures hosted at the Estadi Municipal.

According to documentation from both UE Olot and CASG, the partnership goes beyond basic administrative volunteering. The initiative focuses specifically on fostering social integration, personal autonomy, and skill development through team dynamics. By embedding the participants within the daily operations of a senior competitive football club, organizers aim to build meaningful community ties.
The program incorporates structural integration elements that extend past training grounds. Participating individuals participate fully in official away match travel alongside the squad throughout the competitive campaign.
Pathways to Coaching and Community Roles
The collaboration features a clear pathway for future involvement. Upon completing the volunteer term, the club’s Foundation will evaluate candidates for potential coaching roles within its youth football setup.
Language Commitment and Institutional Responsibilities
The project places a strong emphasis on sportsmanship, fair play, and collective cohesion. It designates Catalan as the primary vehicle of communication across all team activities and administrative duties. This linguistic commitment is supported directly by the social consortium.
Under the division of labor outlined in the institutional agreement, CASG handles the careful selection of participating youth candidates—evaluating personal commitment and availability—while providing ongoing technical monitoring to ensure stable coexistence and smooth execution of the project. The agency also oversees targeted support for Catalan language acquisition, ensuring participants receive the necessary tools to thrive within the local community setting.
