In the men’s C1 500m event, fellow Canadian Alix Plomteux secured a sixth-place finish in his first senior individual world championship final. The 26-year-old from Quebec crossed the finish line in 1:48.70, finishing 2.62 seconds behind the winner. Brazil’s Isaquias Guimaraes Queiroz won the gold medal, while Czechia’s Martin Fuksa and China’s Bowen Ji rounded out the podium.
