From Benfica Arrival to French Exit
Feyenoord signed Tengstedt ahead of the previous season to bolster their attacking options, tying the striker to a deal that stretched through medio 2029. However, Tengstedt struggled to carve out a regular starting role at De Kuip. Across his debut campaign, Tengstedt accumulated 23 total appearances for the Rotterdam club, though the vast majority of those came as substitute appearances off the bench. During that stretch, he managed to find the back of the net five times.
Squad depth ultimately created an exit path for the Dane. With Ayase Ueda and Nacho Ferri ahead of him in the pecking order, first-team minutes grew increasingly scarce. Tengstedt’s impending departure coincides with further roster management at Feyenoord. Defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo has also departed De Kuip. Kasanwirjo finalized a permanent transfer to Norwegian club SK Brann, concluding his spell in Rotterdam after prior stints with FC Groningen.
