Ohio asserted dominance from the opening frame, pushing across four runs in the first inning. The early pressure forced Alabama to pull starting pitcher Easton Allen after he walked four batters. The Great Lakes champions from West Side Little League in Hamilton, Ohio, kept the bats active throughout the contest, piling up 12 hits and drawing eight walks.
Kinley Rasmus was ineligible to pitch after she threw 54 pitches in Monday’s victory, which mandated three days of rest before returning to the mound. Ohio took full advantage of her absence on the rubber.
