In the 4×100 mixed freestyle preliminary phase, the Spanish foursome managed to outpace several traditional rivals before locking down their place in the medal race. Czechia claimed the top qualifying lane for the final with a swift mark of 3:23.41, setting the pace for the evening showdown at Saint-Denis.

The morning session at the Olympic venue also featured several other notable performances for the Spanish team. Nil Cadevall competed in the men’s 50-meter breaststroke, registering a time of 27.77 that eliminated him in the preliminary heats.

In the women’s 100-meter backstroke, Irene Ciércoles posted the fourth-fastest time among the field at 1:00.38, while teammate Estella Tonrath advanced alongside her with a 1:00.85 effort. Sara Costa missed the cut in the same event after touching the wall in 1:01.03.

Butterfly and Medley Advancements

Additional qualification success came in the men’s 200-meter butterfly, where Arbidel González secured the second-fastest time of the preliminaries at 1:55.07. Isak Fernández joined him in advancing to the semifinals by clocking 1:57.92. In the women’s 200-meter individual medley, Alba Vázquez booked her ticket to the next round with a time of 2:13.51.
