Eintracht Frankfurt continued their preparations for the upcoming Bundesliga campaign with a commanding 5-1 victory over FSV Frankfurt in a traditional local derby at the BBBank Arena.
Early Dominance and First-Half Flurry
Michael Zetterer started in goal for Eintracht, supported by a back four featuring Ansgar Knauff, Robin Koch, Otávio, and Keita Kosugi. Eintracht maintained their attacking intensity immediately after the interval. Malik Pimpong struck just seconds into the second half, netting in the 46th minute to extend the advantage to 4-0. Although FSV Frankfurt found an equalizer through George Iorga’s well-struck direct free-kick in the 62nd minute—leaving Zetterer with no chance—the visitors restored their four-goal cushion.
Ritsu Doan capped the scoring in the 77th minute with a delicate finish, rounding off a dominant team performance.
