Hamilton’s Career Background
Hamilton built a 14-season NBA career known primarily for his elite conditioning, exceptional mid-range shooting, and role as a cornerstone of the Detroit Pistons’ championship era. Drafted seventh overall out of the University of Connecticut in the 1999 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards, Hamilton quickly established himself as a prolific scorer before being traded to Detroit in 2002.
As the starting shooting guard for the Pistons, Hamilton earned three consecutive NBA All-Star nods from 2006 to 2008.
