Major League Baseball brings its iconic Field of Dreams tradition back to Dyersville, Iowa, for a third game on Thursday, August 13, 2026, featuring the Minnesota Twins and the Philadelphia Phillies. Netflix will livestream the matchup, expanding the event’s reach after major facility renovations.
Netflix Livestream and Broadcast Plans for the 2026 Game
Major League Baseball’s summer showcase in the Iowa cornfields is heading to streaming. Netflix announced its August 2026 schedule, confirming that it will broadcast the upcoming clash between the Minnesota Twins and the Philadelphia Phillies. Pre-game programming on the platform is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m.
The broadcast marks a distribution shift for the event, which was established in 2021 when the Chicago White Sox played the New York Yankees in a game that saw the Sox win an inaugural 9-8 thriller. A second game followed on August 11, 2022, where the Chicago Cubs defeated the Cincinnati Reds 4-2. Following those initial matchups, the Dyersville site underwent a major renovation and expansion.
Facility Expansion and State Reaction in Iowa
The return of the game was officially announced last November by MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, introducing a new permanent stadium for one of America’s favorite baseball traditions alongside the legendary movie site inspired by the 1989 film starring Kevin Costner, Amy Madigan, Ray Liotta, and James Earl Jones.

State officials noted pride in hosting fans from across the United States and around the world for the expanded baseball tradition, ensuring the surrounding cornfields remain central to the tourist destination’s enduring appeal.
St. Paul Saints and Iowa Cubs Minor League Exhibition
Before the Major League squads take the field on August 13, the renovated Dyersville venue will host a Minor League Baseball game on Tuesday, August 11, at 7:30 p.m. ET between the St. Paul Saints (Minnesota’s affiliate) and the Iowa Cubs (Chicago’s affiliate). This marks just the second time an MiLB game has ever been played at the iconic site. MLB Network will air the MiLB contest live with Paul Severino, Dan Plesac, Sande Charles, and Jesse Borek on the call, while fans can also stream the action right on MLB.com, MLB.TV, MLB+, and the MLB App.

The Minor League matchup features top organizational talent. The St. Paul roster includes 10 of the organization’s Top 30 prospects, highlighted by outfielder Walker Jenkins—the No. 5 overall pick in 2023 who ranks as MLB’s No. 14 prospect—and left-handed hitting power threat Emmanuel Rodriguez (MLB No. 52), who is returning to action after left thumb surgery alongside fellow top-10 system outfielders Gabriel Gonzalez and Hendry Mendez. The Iowa Cubs counter with depth that includes switch-hitting catcher Owen Ayers, who posted a 1.130 OPS in 20 Arizona Fall League games and has risen from High-A all the way to Triple-A while clubbing 23 home runs in 2026, alongside power-speed prospect B.J. Murray Jr. and recently graduated slugger Kevin Alcántara, who has mashed 17 homers through 61 games at Triple-A.
