According to reports originating from UOL, the initiative to secure external backing came after club president Osmar Stábile expressed financial hesitation regarding the heavy costs associated with keeping the Dutch international. In response, Corinthians’ marketing division approached corporate partners to bridge the gap.
Two separate companies have offered a cost-sharing subsidy of R$ 250,000 per month during the first year of Memphis’s proposed new deal. Under the framework discussed by the parties, the agreement would tie the forward to the club until mid-2028. However, neither the identities of the two corporate backers nor the final contractual details have been officially confirmed by the club hierarchy.
