Hull City has moved quickly to secure Kayserispor goalkeeper Deniz Eren Dönmezer on a principle agreement, reinforcing the EFL Championship club’s squad with emerging talent from the Turkish Süper Lig, according to reports from Turkish sports media.

A One Million Euro Agreement in Principle

The English club, owned by Turkish businessman Acun Ilıcalı, reached an agreement in principle with Kayserispor for the 17-year-old shot-stopper, according to sports journalist Salim Manav. Sources familiar with the transaction report that Hull City will pay a 1 million euro transfer fee for the young goalkeeper. Dönmezer’s impending move to England remains subject to the completion of visa formalities, work permit approval, and standard medical examinations.

Dönmezer brings professional experience despite his youth. The teenage file bekçisi made 24 appearances for Adana Demirspor earlier in his career before moving to Kayserispor, where he has featured in 3 matches.

Trabzonspor Vice President Zeyyet Kafkas confirmed the advancing negotiations during a media appearance, stating that the transfer could be finalized within a matter of days. “Enis Destan için gelişme var. 1-2 gün içinde transferi gerçekleşecek,” Kafkas said, noting that the club values giving its young players opportunities abroad.

Destan made 26 appearances for Trabzonspor during the recent campaign, contributing 2 goals and 2 assists. However, any incoming business for Hull City must navigate ongoing roster restrictions. The English Football League (EFL) previously imposed a transfer ban on the Championship outfit due to financial monitoring rules, restricting the club primarily to loan additions or free transfers unless specific regulatory criteria are met.
