La Federación Española de Baloncesto (FEB) is evaluating a major structural shift in how its domestic competitions are broadcast, moving toward an exclusive digital model. According to reports from specialized outlet La Pócima FEM, the governing body has finalized a five-year agreement with streaming platform SolidSport to centralize coverage of state-level leagues starting with the upcoming seasons.
A New Streaming Model for Spanish Basketball
Under the reported agreement with SolidSport, the federation plans to launch a dedicated streaming hub designed to house all domestic competitions under a single digital roof. This comprehensive setup is slated to cover both men’s and women’s state-level tournaments, bringing a unified approach to digital distribution.
Until now, games across various FEB divisions were accessible through a mix of outlets, most notably the multi-sport streaming service LaLiga+ alongside other digital channels. Many of these prior viewing options offered free access to live matches, a feature that built a dedicated digital audience among club supporters across Spain.
Shifting Away from Free-to-Air Digital Access
The pivot to SolidSport marks a departure from the open-access framework that characterized recent seasons.
