The Kansas City Chiefs released the first visual designs for their planned move across state lines, detailing a $3 billion fully enclosed stadium complex according to ESPN. Planned near the Kansas Speedway at 126th and State Avenue in Wyandotte County, the facility is scheduled to open for the 2031 NFL season as KCTV reported.
This roof structure incorporates more than 400,000 square feet of translucent material directly above the playing surface, intended to maximize natural light and maintain visibility for military flyovers noted KCTV.

While the venue introduces a modern roof and climate-controlled bowl, the architectural blueprint deliberately borrows from Arrowhead Stadium, which has served as the franchise home in Missouri since 1972 noted ESPN. Outside the primary bowl, the development plan emphasizes fan tailgating and historical exhibits.
