Misioneros archers are preparing to compete in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, as they aim to build on strong performances from the opening leg of the regional circuit. The delegation, representing the Asociación Misionera de Tiro con Arco (AMiTA), CEF N° 4, and Ruiz de Montoya, will contest the second date of the Paraguay Regional Championship in the indoor discipline, continuing their campaign that began in late March.
The team’s recent outing in Ciudad del Este from March 28–29, 2026, yielded multiple podium finishes across age and equipment categories. Cristian Rojas captured gold in men’s recurve, while Marcelo Szydloski earned bronze in the same division after a tightly contested elimination round. On the women’s side, Daniela Cocco secured silver in recurve femenino, narrowly missing gold to Marlene Salcedo of Mbigua.
In equipment-specific divisions, María Szyszko and Dora Bauer claimed first and second places respectively in recurvo escuela 40, continuing AMiTA’s depth in youth development. Fabián Bachmann took gold in raso escuela 80 for CETARUIZ, with Alejandro Chatattah earning bronze in the same category. Celia Bogado also topped the raso escuela 80 division during qualification, setting up a strong elimination-round performance.
The competition follows World Archery indoor rules, featuring two rounds of 30 arrows each during qualification at 18-meter distance. Elimination matches proceed via set play, with athletes advancing through octavos, quarterfinals, semifinals, and medal rounds based on cumulative set points. The municipal polideportivo in Ciudad del Este hosted the event under high temperatures, which organizers noted affected athlete stamina during prolonged sessions.
