La Pampa’s sports delegation has begun its journey to compete in the 2026 Juegos de Integración Patagónica, with athletes traveling to multiple provinces across southern Argentina for the regional multi-sport event.
The delegation departed in staggered groups starting Sunday afternoon, April 20, 2026, according to reports from Infopico and Radio Don. The first microbus left for Río Gallegos in Santa Cruz province carrying selected athletes in artistic gymnastics, taekwondo, tennis, wrestling, and climbing.
During the early hours of Monday, April 21, another group began its trip to Tierra del Fuego for competitions in badminton, table tennis, and archery, including both conventional and adaptive (PCD) categories. Later that Monday morning, a third team departed for Neuquén to participate in swimming events as part of the EPADE Games.
Opening ceremonies are scheduled for Monday night across the various host cities, with Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego set to host one of the main events. Ceferino Almudévar, La Pampa’s Subsecretary of Sports, will attend the inauguration in Ushuaia.
The table tennis mixed team representing La Pampa consists of Ignacio Lobos, Milena Martini Pacheco, Gaia María Saso, and Tomás Enzo Torres, under the guidance of coach Carina Burgos. In the PCD (Para Sports) divisions, Leticia Molina and María Camargo compete in women’s table tennis (coach Guido Baretto), while Rubén Borzi and Simón Guaraglia represent the men’s PCD team (coach Matías Charette).
Archery entries include Evelyn Lourdes in the Sub-17 women’s category (coach Marcela Barrionuevo) and Bruno Omar Martínez Kelhoffer in the Sub-17 men’s division. For PCD archery, Aldana Vásquez Lemos competes in the women’s class (coach Candela Ricciardo), and Joaquín Castro and Angel Wander Vanderhoeven form the men’s PCD team (coach Ronaldo Taboada).
Weightlifting features Catherina Sánchez in the women’s competition (coach Romina Débora), and Jonathan Arriola, Valentín Barrionuevo Fumagalli, and Nahuel Méndez in the men’s division (coach Mario González).
Badminton athletes include Alfonsina Bazán Hernández and Camila Frías Sosa in the women’s event (coach Bárbara Berruezo), and Francisco Gehl and Augusto Klundt in the men’s competition (coach Maximiliano Acuña).
The Juegos de Integración Patagónica bring together athletes from six provinces: La Pampa, Chubut, Neuquén, Río Negro, Tierra del Fuego, and Santa Cruz. The event promotes regional integration through sports competition and cultural exchange.
Competitions are set to begin Tuesday, April 22, 2026, across the various venues in the host provinces. Athletes will compete in their respective disciplines throughout the week, with results determining provincial standings in the overall integration games.
La Pampa has historically performed well in these regional events, and officials express confidence in achieving strong results this year through months of preparation by technical staff and athletes.
The delegation’s travel and participation highlight the province’s commitment to developing athletic talent across both conventional and adaptive sports disciplines.
