Heilbronn, Germany – The Wormersdorf kickboxing team delivered a stunning performance at the Baden-Württemberg Championship of the WKU in Heilbronn this past weekend, securing a remarkable number of podium finishes and solidifying their position as a force in regional martial arts competition. The event, a long-standing tradition for the Tomburg Boxing team, saw 13 athletes compete, supported by their coaches and families.
The competition was fierce, with full brackets featuring up to nine fighters in each weight class. Despite the challenging field, the Wormersdorf squad rose to the occasion, achieving what team officials are calling a “sensationally successful” day. The results signal a strong start to the season for Tomburg Boxing, and the team is already looking ahead to future challenges.
Maxim Stieben led the charge, claiming three first-place finishes and a second-place result. Jolie Zavelberg too enjoyed a dominant showing, securing three first-place awards and a third-place finish. Luisa Riehl and Dominik Riehl each earned two first-place victories, while Linus Storck took home one first-place and one second-place award.
Charlotte Stocker demonstrated impressive consistency, earning three first-place finishes and one second-place. Liv Bender secured two first-place finishes and a second-place, and Andrea Sinner added another first-place to the team’s tally. Sophia Noll earned two second-place finishes, with Ava Bender claiming a second-place result as well. Lea Schmitz and Etienne Schell each earned two third-place finishes, and Ben Eggert rounded out the medal count with a third-place victory.

Beyond the medals, the event provided valuable experience for all participants, including those who were stepping into the ring for the first time. The Tomburg Boxing team emphasized the importance of the experience gained by all athletes, regardless of their final placement.
The team’s next challenge will be the Austrian State Championship, another significant tournament held under the auspices of the WMAC. This competition promises to be equally demanding, attracting top kickboxers from across the region. Tomburg Boxing is preparing diligently for this next test, building on the momentum from their impressive showing in Heilbronn.
