With this win, Górnik Łęczna secured their 11th league victory of the season, accumulating 35 points and holding the third position in the Ekstraliga standings. They are level on points with second-placed Pogoń Szczecin, while league leaders KKS Czarni Sosnowiec maintain a five-point advantage.
Kurkutović emphasized the importance of the victory, particularly following a recent setback. “Considering we lost our last match three days ago, this game was very important for regaining our confidence and staying in the championship race,” she said. “We’ve played two games in three days and have three more tough matches ahead in the next week where we require to stay focused, and secure points. There are no guaranteed points anywhere; we need to show from the first minute that we desire to win the title in both the league and the cup. Personally, I endeavor to contribute in every match. I’m happy, of course, if I can add a goal or an assist, but the most important thing is to win and help the team.”
