SAN JOSE DE OCOA. – The New York Yankees Latin American academy held a significant day of delivering sports equipment in the community of Nizao – Las Auyamas, San José de Ocoa province, benefiting more than 100 children who play baseball in the municipal league in the area.

The activity was headed by the director of the academy, Joel Lithgow, who led the delivery of the items donated by the organization, reaffirming the social commitment of the Yankees to the development of baseball in the Dominican Republic.

The donation included shoes, gloves, balls, t-shirts (jerseys) and other essential utensils for playing the game, materials that will strengthen the training and sports education of young athletes in the community.

Lithgow expressed that this day is part of the organization’s permanent commitment to promoting baseball in the country and supporting communities in need, a work that remains active throughout the year through various social and sports initiatives.

For his part, David Rosario, coach of the Nizao – Las Auyamas municipal league, thanked the support provided by the Yankees, highlighting the importance of this help to continue promoting the development of children through sports.
