The Varese Women’s Basketball team fails to do so and stops after two successes in a row: Usmate wins 64-48. The Neroargento did very well in the first 20 minutes where they managed to keep the top-ranked Gialloblu in check, closing in a draw at 20 minutes at 34. With Caruso still absent due to his eye problem, their energy physiologically dropped in the second half where the Bosine scored only 14 points and saw the home team run away, pushed by the Gatti Savini duo, both scoring 16 points. Gialloblu who also recorded the debut of De Gianni (5 points).
“A more than dignified match. We were in the match until the beginning of the third quarter, then we suffered their physicality. Certainly Caruso’s absence in such an important and physical match put us in difficulty. We are confident because we gave an excellent performance and we saw good things on the parquet. We must continue on this path knowing that this was certainly not the match to win at all costs” commented coach Fabrizio.
