The national finals of the Badminton student sports games took place at the King high school in Genoa. King high school once again obtained the highest number of titles even if it had to give up that of the male students. In today’s finals there was a great battle in the male students category where the Colombo high school of Genoa, which is trying its hand at badminton for the first time in the GSS, won ‘on points’ against the Amoretti Institute of Sanremo. After easily winning the doubles with the Astuni-Cau pair and Astuni’s first singles, Colombo suffered a comeback from the Sanremo team thanks to the singles players Modena and De Franceschi who won respectively with Moretti and Cau, the latter in three sets, but when counting the points, Colombo had a total of 78 against the 71 of the Riviera players who thus saw the national finals in Lignano vanish. Less resistance was put up by the female students, the girls from Genoa from Liceo King (Di Salle, Friedman, Wolfsbruger, Sterrantino) won all the matches, thus finishing 4 to 0 again against the Amoretti Institute. In the junior male category the provincial champions from Genoa from Liceo King passed directly due to the absence of their opponents, while the females also had it against Amoretti from Sanremo, with a score of 3 to 1. for the victories of Vischi and Giambuzzi in the singles against Scarfone and Marino, and in the doubles, a flag point for Porro who got the better of Del Sette.
